Hello - and thank you for the great information throughout Google
answers. I have done a lot of reading regarding Googles Freshbot - and
I too fall into the category of being indexed for one day then
dissapearing. This is fine however, can I be confident that within X
amount of time i will appear in the full Google index? I submitted my
site app 4-6 weeks ago and appeared yesterday. I have tried to
optimise my site as best as possible to get good results:
www.ringtonesgroove.com
Is there anything wrong with the site when concerning getting indexed
and search engines etc?
Any information regarding the detail of my site would be great.

Thanks for your help and good job !!

Hi mazzy,

Good day and thanks for your question.

I'd like to first quote the following from the Google Webmaster FAQ
[://www.google.com/webmasters/2.html#usedtobe]
"We update our index about every four weeks. If you happen to enter
the same query repeatedly while we are in the process of posting the
index at our various data centers around the country, it might seem
like you are seeing inconsistent results from Google. What is actually
happening is that you are seeing a result from an 'old' version of our
index one time and a result from a 'new' version the next. Due to the
size of our index, we can not simultaneously post a new index at all
of our data centers, which may result in this behavior for a short
period of time."

Basically, almost all sites face this when they are first indexed on
Google. There are a number of data centers, and it is likely that when
you saw your site listed on Google, it was on one of the servers in a
particular data center and the next day, you might have accessed the
server of another data center. Within 4 weeks (it usually takes a
week), you can see your site listed on all ocassions.

I have gone through your site and it is very impressive. I would like
to add one thing though. The link pointing to "Homepage" points to
index.htm. Change it to your site url (i.e. the HTML tag should be <A
HREF="http://www.ringtonesgroove.com">) This technique has proved to
be effective in increasing your PageRank.

Rest assured, your site will become a permanent entry in Google within
a short period of time.

If you have any clarifications, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank
you fo r using this service and have a nice day.

Warm Regards,
