In the 1940's either the Ink Spots or the Mills Brothers made a
recording of 'Paper Doll' and on the back was either 'I'll Be Around'
or 'It's so Peaceful in the Country' - both of these songs by Alec
Wilder

I'd like to find this record so I could have a copy or have the two
songs to store or whatever is possible

Please, of course, ask me any clarifications or questions

Hello pixie35-ga,

Thank you for your question.

According to the Piqua Ohio website the Mills Brothers recorded I’ll
be Around and on the B side Paper Doll.

“After their return to the States, they needed a hit. They recorded
"I'll be Around." Donald Mills chose "Paper Doll" as the B-side of
the record. "I'll Be Around" became a popular hit, then a disk jockey
turned the record over. "Paper Doll," recorded in just fifteen
minutes, sold six million copies and became the group's biggest hit.”

Hello - Thanks for your thorough and speedy answer. Wow! I have
ordered the CD. I have another music question. I am looking for a

an album called 'Smilin Through'

How do I add an extra payment to the account for this?
  Thanks

(It's probably beginning to become clear to you that I have a
particular interest in 'I'll be Around')

Well hello, it's nice to have some questions for you. Is there a
procedure
to allot you the fee or should I put the amount in as a tip at
evaluation time?
Please just let me know what is the right procedure.

OK I have two issues. (l) I am looking for LOONIS IN LONDON by
Loonis
McGlohon 1997 AudioFile B-12345000IUQ4 - I do not how much Loonis
recorded,
by himself or in collaboration, but I'd also be interested in other
titles
he might have recorded.

      (2) I am looking for a female jazz vocal rendition of 'Did you
Ever Cross Over to Sneeden's' (A few times I have seen it spelled
sneden - but I am
confident it is Sneeden) This is an Alec Wilder song but music and
lyrics
both.. I am not sure I believe it was Mabel Mercer's song, but others
sang it.
Mabel Mercer, Peggy Lee, Billie Holliday, Barbara Lea, a rendition by
any of these ladies would be what I am looking for.
I would be pretty sure about Mercer and Lea, not so
certain if it
was ever recorded by Peggy Lee or Holliday. Maybe Cleo Laine?

So please let me know how I can help you and if you can tell
what I'm looking for by what I've written.

                                                       thanks
