A friend has developed a cockpit video recorder system that
simultaneously records the activity on instrument panel and the front
(outside) view of the cockpit. It uses 2-didgital video cameras and
then can be used to displays both the recordings in a synchronised
manner, on the same screen on a single computer monitor at post flight
stage.
Is it feasible to market it EXCLUSIVELY through the internet and are
there any websites where this can be advertised for maximum results?

Hello polcat and thank you for your question.

Are you thinking about combat aircraft, or commercial aircraft, or both?
ie. What is the purpose of the development?

Best regards

Thanks THX1138, the typical application for this system would be in
commercial type/general aviation aircraft and could also inclide
non-combat aircrafts of say coastguard, plant spray departments.
This will have much use in post-flight debriefing sessions for
trainees, regular pilots etc.
Also some legal/court use e.g. law enforcement agencies where an
evidence of some activity caught on the camera (through the first
camera which is focused on cockpit's outside front view) can be
presented in a synchronization with the movie/images of the instrument
panel captured by the second camera.

Polcat --

Just about anything is "feasible" over the Internet. The question is:
is it the best or only way to reach a market? A small percentage of
companies are focused on only Internet delivery, though there are
notable success stories of Internet companies everywhere.

Be aware that a CVR system will need FAA approval paperwork;
installation instructions for a variety of aircraft; and new
weight-and-balance performed by a local FBO/service center.

But there are popular aviation websites that would be excellent
marketing outlets, the most notable probably being Avweb:
www.avweb.com
