What happened to Jimmy Sutton?  On or around September 20th, 2002 he
slit a mans (Eric Sestron) throat and killed him at the Piney Woods
Motorcycle Rally.  Here is a link to the original article.  What was
he convicted of and what sentance is he serving?

The indicent you are referring to occured in Canton Texas either on
Sunday, April 27, 2003 or Sunday, May 4, 2003. In this article from
the CANTON HERALD archived for the week of May 1-8, 2003, it mentions
that "The murder of a Joshua man in Trade Center I early Sunday
morning..." The phrase "early Sunday morning" could only have been one
of these two dates for it to be in this archive.

Sutton's bond it set at $1 million. Reading this published court
docket from  Van Zandt County it indicates that he has been assigned a
court appointed attorney. Normally, people who make bond are required
to provide their own counsel, so probability that he is still be
sitting in jail is great.

According to this Van Zandt County Court Docket his last court
appearance was 06/26/2003 with his court appointed attorney so he's
apparently still awaiting trial on a charge of murder and has yet to
be convicted of any crimes:
