I would like to know how many automobile aftermarket rims are sold
each year in the U.S.  (this is the main question)

Other details I want to know are: 

What is the average price of those sales, the total dollar value of
those sales, the high and low dollar value of those sales?

I would also like to know the same for world wide sales, that is what
is the number of rims sold world wide, the total dollar value of world
wide aftermarket car rim sales, high and low dollar value?

Just to be clear, rims are the round metal piece that you attach the
tire around.

I talked to a rep from a trend research company, one that does studies
along these lines.  Being very familiar with this realm, he claims
this information doesn't exist out there, because there's not enough
of an audience for it.  However, he said, for $15,000, his company
would undertake a comprehensive custom study on it and generate a
report for you.  Please let me know if this would be of value.
