My boss wants his Palm data files on a LAN W2K server so that he can
access his appointments from his PC and his admin assistant can access
them from her PC. Ideally, they would both have the files open
simultaneously but can live with one or the other being active.

I am the LAN Administrator, but not familiar with limitations of Palm
OS and data files.
I have installed the "client" software on each user's PC and the data
file on the server with both of them having full control of the folder
(in fact "everyone" has full control. However, attempting to permit
one "client" to access the data file folder on the server is not
allowed when another has been linked.
