Question ID: 233018
I have a client in financial services that produces a lot of materials
– from white papers and speeches to marketing brochures, article
reprints, and entire communications programs. All of these materials
contain information about various aspects of money management – from
insurance products (life insurance, disability income, long-term care)
investing, and retirement planning to financial literacy (for adults
and children), behavioral economics and careers in financial services
(from college age recruits on up).

We are endeavoring to get these materials before individuals and
organizations that have influence over or interest in any of these
matters for the specific purpose of creating awareness of our
activities. This specific effort does NOT include customers,
competitors or members of the general print and broadcast media.

For example, we have several white papers on college funding that
we’re sending to Junior Achievement (which has an economics
newsletter); we have a communications program directed at women small
business owners that we’ve provided to iVillage.com; we have a series
of marketing brochures on charitable giving through trusts that we’ve
provided to AARP, the Senior Savvy Newsletter and the Administration
on Aging; we have an article reprint by my client’s CEO that we’ve
forwarded to Alan Greenspan.

While this effort is not directed at customers, my client’s audiences
include professionals with $75,000+ household incomes, small business
owners, professional women, retirees, parents (who want to educate
their children about money matters or who are looking for ways to fund
college), and people looking for careers in financial services.

Again, this is a list of relevant contacts who would receive these
materials for free.

Hello dasher1-ga,

I understand the context of what you wrote, but I'm not sure what
question you're asking.

Do you want technical help to build a database?

Are you looking for sources of contact information?

Or were you hoping for a researcher here to provide you an actual list
of contacts?

And if you ARE looking for contact information, what format and what
type of information do you need (e.g. mailing addresses or email
contacts)?

Or perhaps it was something else entirely you had in mind.

If you can be a bit more specific about what it is you're after,
perhaps one of the researchers here will be able to help you.

Thanks.

I am looking to make a general list of organizations and/individuals
(like, Junior Achievement, like AARP, like Alan Greenspan) regarding
this subject. At this point, while it would be nice, I don't need
mailing addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, etc. Hope this
helps.

Hi there,

How long a list would be satisfactory as an answer?

Best regards,
Tox-ga

Clarification of Question by dasher1-ga on 21 Jul 2003 13:48 PDT
5 to 10 organizations/individuals for each category:

-- women professionals (especially small business owners)
-- small business owners
-- financial literacy (kids and adults)
-- parents
-- retirees
-- people looking for careers in financial services
-- $75,000+ households

Again, I'm looking for organizations and individuals who have interest
in or influence over these issues or audiences. For example, AARP has
an interest in retirees. For example, there probably are plenty of
individuals who give speeches on any of these issues or about these
audiences. Please remember to re-read the original question, which
includes what I'm NOT looking for

Good luck.

Hi! I can assemble a list of the type of organizations you said in
your preferred categories except for the $75000+ households since by
nature, people are quite secretive about their income. Would a a list
like financial executive or bankers association be accepted as a
replacement instead?

Thanks!

Clarification of Question by dasher1-ga on 23 Jul 2003 09:12 PDT
A list that would INCLUDE financial executive and/or banker
associations would be okay.

Thx

I was poking around myself on this question for a while, and it was a
tough one. Looks like Easterangel came up with a great list, though.
Nice work!
