A loan is a loan is a loan. Joint ventures are a type of business organisation involving 2 or more partners. Venture capital firms are a type of business. But a loan is what the NOTE says it is. Any differences should be apparent by comparing the disclosure statements that are required with such transactions. If you have 2 organisations willing and able to provide money, the terms should be the most important thing effecting your decision. Additionally, the character of the people you do business with should mirror the standards that you set for yourself or your company. |
