Hello Thethirdone-ga, Thank you for your question. In order to find the solution for the removal of the ashtray I went to Lexus Owners Club->Lexus ES300 Forums. I located a post from Blake918 who had the same trouble as you with his 1994 Lexus ES300. He couldnt remove the ashtray either. Blake found the solution in the Lexus Service Manual that he purchased at Ebay. Here are the instructions for the removal of the ashtray. It should not take more you more than 10 minutes. . . . Get a small screwdriver, put some tape on the blade, pop off the wood trim panel around the shifter. Next pop off the black trim piece above the cup-holder, and voila you have access to the 4 phillips screws that hold the astray in. I found all of this in my new Lexus Service Manual that I just bought off of ebay for $60.00 ... Lexus Owners Club: Lexus ES300 Forums http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=7&t=1566&hl=ash+tray In addition I registered at the forum and got in touch with Blake918 to confirm his instructions. He said it was very easy to remove the ashtray with the above instructions and you shouldnt have any problems doing so. Here is the index for the Lexus ES300 Owners Forum which will prove useful if you encounter other difficulties with your Lexus ES300. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?s=31dd97ed89bb90075a1199c2132ac10c&act=SF&f=7 Search Criteria: How to remove Lexus ashtray Remove Lexus ES300 ashtray Removal Lexus ES300 ashtray I hope this answers your question!
