H! Thanks for the interesting question.

I have found the following articles discussing the benefits of hiring
people 65 years or older. I will provide small snippets from the
articles but I highly recommend that you read them in their entirety
to get a better perspective.

“HR professionals see many advantages of hiring older workers.
Respondents said older workers provided invaluable experience (72
percent), had a stronger work ethic (69 percent) and were more
reliable (68 percent).”

in 2010”

“’Older workers are eager to learn new skills, and studies show that
older workers have better health and live longer than their retired
peers,’"

“Older workers use time efficiently, they are prompt, self-starters
who come to work ready to work, and work hard until quitting time,
said Madden. ‘Older workers are valuable mentors, setting high
standards for workers of all ages,’ added Madden.”

"’Older workers are loyal, trustworthy, and reliable,’ said Madden.
‘They take pride in their work and respect their employer.’"

performance. Americans age 55 and above take fewer sick days, adapt to
new technologies successfully, and are more loyal to their employer
than thirtysomethings.”

“Better health and longer lives (in part because the nature of work
has become less physically demanding than in the days when the economy
was more dependent on mining and manufacturing) mean that many people
now approaching retirement age can expect to live into their
eighties.”

“That plays out, but not in a desire to head off to Palm Beach,’ he

be healthy, dynamic people. They all want to do something meaningful
to them.’”

increased ownership and use of PCs in the home.”
