When I try to insert a row in my Excel worksheet it says " Excel
caused an invalid page fault in module MS097.DLL at 0177:306c34b9."
This happened before and then I saved it under a different name and
this cured the fault. However the bug seems to have returned.

Hello,

It seems like you need to reload Microsoft Office. That could solve
the problem permanently, unless the issue is being caused by the
Operating System iteslf. However the error mesage shows "MS097.DLL"
which is a Microsoft Office library file, so most probably it is an
Excel fault.

I found this on the net:

Recovering Data From a Corrupted Excel File

He managed to recover most of his data this way. Please see if it
works for you, that is if you have lost data that you need to recover.

In any case, I would reload MS Office thereby over-writing the current
installation on your hard drive.

If it works for you, please let me know.

Warm regards
