posting on question ID 234628, titled "how to READ and WRITE a byte

SO, I'm re-writting my question AGAIN, (SO, I DON'T HAVE TO PAY
TWICE!!)

H E R E is my QUESTION...  AGAIN.

My Question have two parts:

a) I NEED TO NOW HOW TO READ AND WRITE A BYTE DATA USING THE PARALLEL PORT,
IN ORDER TO COMMUNICATE WITH AN HARDWARE. I'M USING PowerBuilder 5.0
AS A PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE.

b) TO NOW HOW TO READ AND WRITE A BYTE DATA USING THE SERIAL PORT, IN ORDER
TO COMMUNICATE WITH AN HARDWARE. I'M USING PowerBuilder 5.0 AS A
PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE.

IF PowerBuilder 5.0 has no function to do this, i want to call a
function in a .DLL file, i have Windows Mellenium Edition on my
Computer.

I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP ON THIS MATTER.
