I live in New Jersey. If I look out over the Hudson River (so the west
coast of Manhattan) I can see the NY skyline, I'm trying to find out
the name and location of a building with an unusual top. It's very
Asian looking, almost looking like the curvy pagoda tops of Chinese or
Japanese Buddhist temples. A payable answer is an answer with the
street address, and building name along with a picture somewhere
online. Judging from my observations, I'd say it's roughly mid- to
lower- manhattan, maybe a street or three in from the West Side
Highway. Thanks for your help guys. Clarify if you're speculating,
answer if you have the answer.

Here's two possibilities:

<a href="http://soothsayer.topcities.com/chinatown/catherine.html">http://soothsayer.topcities.com/chinatown/catherine.html</a>
<a href="http://www.12gauge.com/arts10_11_2000_manhattan.html">http://www.12gauge.com/arts10_11_2000_manhattan.html</a>

...and a third that probably isn't tall enough

Sorry robertskelton-ga, it's not in Chinatown, and it's clearly
visible from NJ looking into the skyline. It's slim, and not a fat
building at all. As slim as or slimmer than the Empire State Building
(but shorter).

There is a building in this photo that might be what you are referring
to, but it's not the center piece, but on the bottom-right.

Is that what is looks like?

I believe this is the building referred to in my first post. Probably
not it since it looks small.

Sorry sa-ga, it's a skyscraper, maybe not the tallest, but it's not a
short fat building. It's tall and slim or at least the upper half is.

Sorry jasonm1-ga that's not it, it's not as &quot;straight edged&quot;.

Looks like a pagoda to me. Is this it?
