Cortisone injection into a scar caused a dimple (some sinking of the scar and the area around it). I want to know if the area will eventually plump up or is it a permanent . I would like to find a medical report or article about it. Thanks |

This is a well known complication of steroid injections, and is usually permanent. The only article I could find about it was this one, which only mentions this in passing: Look under "treatment" http://www.emedicine.com/ent/topic37.htm |
