I use JASC Paint Shop Pro V. 7.04. I deal with hundreds of images a
day that I need to resize to 600x400. Is there a way to automatically
resize them, or do I have to resize them individually?

XCVBNM --

Not in PSP -- it's entirely a manual process. The only batch function
that I believe Paint Shop Pro handles automatically is file
conversion.

There are other programs that would handle the process automatically
if you're interested in them.

Best regards,

Oh man, what a pain in the ass....I can't believe I have to do it
manually. Thanks though.

I know of a few programs that will do this rezising for you,
completely automated. Would you be interested in that info as an
Answer?

Are the programs free and user-friendly?

Yes, I'd say they are user friendly. And at least one is freeware.
Note: they are designed to quickly make large numbers of thumbnails,
AKA shrink pictures. So as long as you're reducing the size of
pictures, it will be fine. I wouldn't try expanding pictures with
these programs, as they are not designed for that and possibly would
not come out good.
Would this be alright?

xcvbnm - I wish you had not given up so quickly. There's lots of
freeware out there that will do this for you. This would have been
the first question I would have been able to answer for someone!!

PicSizer is a batch utility that resizes images for use on the web and
in email. It allows you to resize a batch of images to the same size,
which can be selected and previewed from an easy to use slider. Doing
this you can reduce the file size of the images, especially digital
photos, so that they are more suitable for emailing or web use.
PicSizer saves in JPEG format at any size between 64 and 1024 pixels,
and can open files in .bmp, .jpg, .gif, .png, .tga, and .tif formats.
The reduced files are saved in a different directory, so your original
pictures are not changed.
