What is the classical music played during the Prego Sauce TV commercial that is currently (July 2003) airing? I saw the commercial on TV in Baltimore, MD. The commercial is all music, with little or no voice. The music is a haunting, beautiful melody. I don't know if it was composed for the commercial or not. The images during the commercial are closeups of the sauce being made or stirred (not sure which). The answer must be specific enough to enable me to buy a CD with that piece if one exists. (Example: Beethoven Sonata No. 11, op.22) Answers such as "a piece by Beethoven" or even "a Beethoven sonata" are not acceptable. | |

I have been informed by the Campbell Soup Company that the music in this commercial is an original piece and does not have a name. |

To add to what Jackburton-ga has posted, the response I received from Campbell Soup Company is that the music was made specifically for the commercial and is not available to the public. Sorry that this is not the type of answer you were looking for. |

Thank you for your answer. While it is indeed not what I had hoped for it does answer my original question, so you are entitled to the fee. Just as a point of interest, which one--jackburton or snapanswer--is considered to be the one who "owns" the question. |

I appreciate your generous attitude and sense of fairness, but, I don't think these comments answered the question. Typically, if researchers believe they have a valid answer, they will post it in the Answer field. The comment area is generally for interesting information that does not answer the question completely. I don't want to speak for jackburton-ga, but, for my part, I would be uncomfortable taking your fee under the circumstances. As a customer, you have a couple choices. You can leave the question active in the hopes that another researcher will provide an answer. Or, you can expire the question. Whichever you choose, I hope you will use the service again in the future. |
