Hello,
I have a site (call it A), however that site is a redirect to another
site - site "B". I have not set up a web hosting account for site B
in other words. In that way, there is no index page for site B for me
to fill in meta fields etc. Do you know of a way to get hits using
search engine searches?
Thank you.

I am more comforatble with Apache so i have the answer using Apache.
Site A need not to have any hosting. Just a virtual host entry in
apache conf file is required.

If you Apache is compiled with DSO support, mod_redirect module can
help you.
In A's virtual host entry,
1. Add REDIRECT tag to redirect the urls.
2. Specify access log entry for virtual host A.

So all the urls come to A's entry in apache conf, mod_redirect will
redirect the urls to site B.(Any RegExp works in specify redirection
pattern).

and A's access log file will have your data that you want.

hope this helps you.
