Hello decaf4me, Mini Babybel does need refrigeration. The manufacturer of Babybel and Mini Babybel says Mini Babybel comes with a thin wax coat in a printed red cellophane wrap. Whilst awaiting shipment to wholesalers and supermarkets in refrigerated trucks, the Babybel cartons are kept in cold storage between 4 deg C and 8 deg C. http://www.bel-group.com/index.php?PAGE=brand.php&BRANDKW=BABYBEL&NSID=82 Horgan's Delicatessen Suppliers also recommends that Mini Babybel should be stored at 4 deg C http://www.horgans.com/group10/928.html By the way, according to the Bel Group web site, although Babybel dates back to 1931, trademark was registered in 1931, the cheese was not launched until 1952. Mini Babybel only appeared in 1977. Search strategy: Mini Babybel stored |
