Hi, I'm seeking information on the current civil aeronautics industry
that pertain to the Boeing Airbus rivalry (I'm not looking for a
history of the industry and the two companies, but more of a
speculative outlook). Any WTO decisions or EU actions that have an
effect in this industry is a great plus; recent activity is preferred.
Also, I'm curious as to how Aerotech fits into the picture
(particularly how it plays itself in the Boeing/Airbus rivalry).
What I'm trying to do with the information given:
-Develop an understanding of where Boeing stands competitively
-What options Boeing has to compete with Airbus and the EADS (eg
pursuit of the Airbus subsidy issue, expand its market power through
mergers/acquisitions, etc)
-Basically, what Boeing should do in the near future
(Articles offering their own opinion on these subjects would be
appreciated as well)
What I've found already:
-News of the current Airtran deal and the military deal for tankers to
Boeing
-News on the formation of the EADS (but I'm not too sure what this may
imply for government subsidies to Airbus) |
