Question ID: 235535
What would be the real-world equivalent, according to author JK
Rowling, for butterbeer mentioned in the Harry Potter books? Where
can I find a recipe, again approved by JK Rowling, to make butterbeer?
What proof can be offered that the recipe and real-world equivalent is
actually approved by JK Rowling? Thanks.

Greetings federal!
As a longtime Harry Potter fan, I'm very excited to see such a
question as yours being asked. My research found some interesting
facts about butterbeer (how they're served, how much alcohol, etc.).
When asked by a magazine, she said that she made it up, but she
mentioned a real-world equivalent. There are plenty of recipes for
butterbeer, but as far as I see none are officially approved. Would
you accept such an answer?
