Where can I buy a comedy rubber frying pan for hitting people?

Hi oliver,

I've done quite a bit of research on your question, and I'm
continually being told to call this company/or look at that company on
the web. I've called Spencer Gifts, Southwest Props, Bert Easly's Fun
Shop, and finally Jeremy's Place. I'm surprised the rubber frying pan
is so elusive and hard to find!

The only suggestion I have is Jeremy's Fun Place, Inc. "Playing with
our food since 1992" does do custom work. I have emailed them asking
if they will make a rubber frying pan. If I get a positive reply I'll
post my findings for you. :)

Thanks for the reserch you have done for me. It's a shame that jeremys
fun place dont do frying pans. Whilst I would accept a custom made
frying pan as an answer, I am sure that you must be able to buy them,
given that it is such a well established comedy prop. However I to
have been suprised at how difficult it has been to find.

You should know I am based in the UK, but this has gone way beyond me
worrying about the country I get one from now anyway.

Hi, Oliver!

Many thanks for accepting my remarks as an answer to your question.
This was a fun sort of quest, and I'm glad to have been able to turn
up the item in question. Now your rubber chicken will have a proper
roasting-spot. ;-)

Here you'll find a "frying pan and full English breakfast" made of
foam and latex:

Snow and Fire Costumes and Props
http://www.snowandfire.biz/pages/props/

This site lists a "Small long handled frying pan" prop rental for
£1.00:

1st Night Costume Hire
http://www.1stnight.co.uk/shop/pages/props.htm

Search terms used:

"frying pan" + "rubber"
"frying pan" + "latex"
"frying pan" + "prop"

I hope you're able to obtain your rubber utensil. And I hope the
members of your staff are properly appreciative of the amount of
effort you put into the project of locating something with which to
whop them upside the head painlessly.

Best wishes,
Pink

Very good, thanks. I think I could "motivate" my staff with a rubber
monkey wrench just as well as with a frying pan. I'm still holding out
for a frying pan though because a it's funnier than wrench or hammer

I haven't found one, but I'm sure they exist. After all, you've got to
have a rubber frying pan if you ever want to fry your rubber chicken.

Hi oliver,

I received a reply from Jeremy's Fun Place. They don't 'do' rubber
frying pans. :(

Oliver --

How about a rubber "feed" pan, design for "feeding smaller animals."
It's 4 inches deep, eight inches in diameter and weighs only 1.4
pounds, including shipping material. And, it costs under four dollars
plus shipping. No handle, but it would seem to be a fairly simple
do-it-yourself project to attach one. Here's a picture (along with
ordering information if you're interested):

Here's a UK site that offers some interesting props with which to bop
people, including a bomb, a brick, and a "latex throwing skull."
Imagine how impressed your staff would be if you were to clobber them
with a latex throwing skull. The mind boggles.
