I am wanting a list of registered charities that have an office in
Sydney Australia, and are registered in Australia (so that it is
possible to get a tax deduction for these charities in Australia). In
particular, I want a list of charities which are involved in work in
3rd world countries, especially charities that work with orphanages,
and various types of development aid programs such as microloans. The
reason for requesting this information is that I am looking at
donating a large amount of money to charity and want to find the
charities that fit my values.

I would also like to know about any system of evaluating
charities and about detecting corruption in Charities. The number of
stories I have heard about problems with corruption in Charities is
extraordinary, and I would like to know who has already looked into this
problem and how they have looked for corruption in Charities. Thank
