I want to develop secured pages on my website with restricted access.
I work with Dreamweaver MX. My website is hosted on a Windows server.
It uses ASP and Access databases.
However, ASP protection is not sufficient as most of the documents
that need to be secured are PDF and Office documents.
My ISP provider does not allow the use of ISAPI Authentication
Filters. Is there any other alternative than using NT users?
If I have to use NT users, is there any application or extension for
Dreamweaver that allows me to manage the Access Control Lists? It
seems a waste of money (169$) to purchase Frontpage just to manage
those lists.

There are several web-based scripts that work using ASP and
Access/text databases that can be used to authenticate users via the
web..
