Just upgraded from ME to XP and now my audio is not working. I have
Creative SoundBlaster Live!Value and AudioHQ installed. I have
download the new drivers from the SB site
(http://www.americas.creative.com/support/welcome.asp?rd=download) and
re-installed AudioHQ
(http://www.windowsxp-drivers.com/drivers/55/55243.htm)but still no
audio. From the AudioHQ application, I receive an error message
"can't find AHQRES.dll". I'm unable to locate this file or determine
why this upgrade killed my audio. I have checked mulitple times that
the
speakers are plugged in properly. Let me know if I can clarify any
points for you. An excellent answer would be for me to hear some
music from my pc. |

Are you sure any "mute" options have not been selected in any of your programs?

Did you make sure that you downloaded the correct driver for Windows
XP? If you're sure, did you uninstall the old ME driver and AudioHQ
before you installed the new one?

yes, I'm sure I downloaded the correct driver from the SB site but I
never uninstalled the ME version. What do I need to do to uninstall
the leftover ME drivers?
