I'm a citizen of Vietnam (VN).
I work and live in Virginia, US under H1-B visa since 1/2001.
My visa will expire in 1/2004. But I can have it extended to 1/2007.
My wife lives in VN with our 12-year old son.
I and my wife live separately since 1994. She never came to the US.
My wife initiated the divorce process in VN 10/2002. She sent me the
documents. I signed the documents, and sent them back to VN to
process.
We don't have any disagreement with our assets and child support. The
child will stay in VN with my wife.
I don't know how long it will take to finish the process in VN, and I
don't want to wait. I want to get divorced here, in Virginia, and I
want to marry an US woman.
How can I get legally divorced and remarried here in Virginia? How
long will it take?
