Question ID: 236785
I have a small chocolate company. I would like to have a machine that
can print images directly onto the chocolate by means of screening or
laser printing. I want to know how this machine works and what it
costs.I am not looking for images printed onto transfer sheets and
then put on chocolate.
I have seen chocolates in the market like this and want to manufacture
them myself. A company called Chocolate Graphics will not give me
info on how their machine works.

Hello Rellots,
I suppose that's how business is... never divulge the product secret.
;)

All kidding aside, I have found at least one other company that does
Chocolate printing, and another one that has a chocolate printing
machine (I'm not sure if this is what Chocolate Graphics uses though).
I wonder if you're interested in this information as an answer.

Hi techtor, Thanks for looking into this for me. OK, I would like
access to the technology and/or purchase of machinery to do that
process in my own shop. I do know of other companies that create this
product and can sell finished chocolates to me... I just want to be
one of them.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I just found the machines, but I
haven't found price information, and I'm not sure if one is willing to
sell its printing machine, since that company seem to be another
chocolate maker too that has it's own machine for chocolate printing.
Let me try to fish out more information, and I'll get back to you as
soon as I can.

Actualy, chocolate is quite easy to silk screen, using standard screen
printing equipment (manual or powered)

Standard type screens are used
and white chocolate mixed with coloring is the "ink"
Gold leaf is also used sometimes for fancy effects

Here is one website that I found ...
http://www.decotechgroup.com/screen_print.htm Phone: (800) 300-DECO
they state that their machines can screen on chocolate.
