Dear Watyer,
This is a beautiful song indeed, called "Bring me to Life", and sung
by a band from Arkansas called Evanescence. The song appears in their
debut album "Fallen" (Amazon link:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000089RVX/ltc-political/102-2988854-7180969),
as well as in the soundtrack of the film "Daredevil" (Amazon Link:

- by no way am I endorsing Amazon - I just provide the link so you
could view the album - buy it where you want...). You could hear the
song (and see its Video clip) at the MTV site:

Many sites have the lyrics, for example
http://top40-charts.com/songs/lyrics.php?sid=6129&string=Bring%20Me%20To%20Life
The vocalist is called Amy Lee and Aidin Vaziri, Amazon's Music
Editor, writes about her that "Vocalist Amy Lee has the kind of voice
that can cause weeks of insomnia, but on songs like "Tourniquet" and
"Haunted" she belies the musics sinister mood with evenhanded [sic.]
spirituality, thoughtfully letting some light shine through the
tempest" (Source: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000089RVX/102-2988854-7180969?v=glance&vi=reviews).
She's 21 years old, from a Little Rock, Arkansas and this is her
first major project.

I hope this answered your question. I began to search for the song the
regular way (which is typing in parts of the lyrics into Google and
hoping some fan had the lyrics in their site), but then I could hear
the song in my head and from there, I just knew what to look for. She
does have a remarkable voice!
If you need any further clarification on this answer, please let me
know. I'd be pleased to clarify my answer before you rate it. |
