Question ID: 236928
I need the names of vendors who sell a PCI video card that has 4 video
outputs. These outputs must be composite, or TV outputs. Enseo sells
a card that does this(Alchemy GFX). I am looking for other vendors
that sell a comparable product.

Greetings Hopkme,
Do you mean four outputs as in one for a computer monitor and the
others for TV-out, or all four outputs are TV out connectors? For the
latter, I doubt there is one, since video cards are meant to be used
with computer monitors. Or do you want cards that have quad display
capability?

Request for Question Clarification by techtor-ga on 30 Jul 2003 08:49 PDT
Hold on... I think I misconstrued the words "video card"... after
looking at the Alchemy GFX, I realize it is not just a video card like
the Geforce or Radeon... it's more af an mpeg decoder card. I will
continue searching for more products like it.

Thank you.

The Harmony4 card is close, but it doesn't seem to have 4 simultaneous
composite outputs, which is really what I'm looking for.

I'll hazard another find on the net. This one's called the Reeltime-4:

The card that www.asanst.com refers to is actually made by Enseo. I'm
looking for cards made by someone other than Enseo that do the same
thing.

here more info about this company..
http://www.chyron.com

Chyron Corp. develops, manufactures, markets and supports equipment,
software and systems used in the presentation and production of video
and audio content. These include character generators, signal
distribution systems, master control switchers and broadcast
automation and media management packages. CYRO's products enable
customers to: create, manipulate and manage text, logos and other
graphic images using special effects such as 3D transforming,
compositing and painting; control and distribute live video, audio and
other data signals; manage broadcast video content and automate the
output of broadcast facilities; and create interactive content and
deliver to TV set top boxes. Graphics products include Duet and Duet
HD. The Duet is a real-time 2D/3D serial digital video graphics
processing platform that integrates a Windows NT or Windows 2000 front
end with real-time graphics processing for television character
generator applications. Duet uses Lyric, CYRO's content creation and
play-out software, to compose messages and play back content. Lyric
can output files for television broadcast, HTML and interactive
television. Duet is used extensively on major sporting events, such as
Monday Night Football (ABC), Sunday Night Football (ESPN) and NASCAR
racing (Fox Sports). Duet is also used in high profile production
applications for customers like Turner Studios, Fox News, CNNfn and
ABC. The company's iNFiNiT! family of products are legacy products
that it has largely phased out in favor of the Duet line. The
company's Signal Distribution and Automation (Pro-Bel) division
provides an extensive range of distribution, signal processing,
routing and control solutions, which are utilized to process and
distribute broadcast media and data signals.

The Chyron products are very impressive, but are way more than I'm
looking for. I simply want a PCI video/mpeg2 decoder card that has 4
composite outputs, made by someone other than Enseo.
