I’m looking for a MB, CPU and RAM combination that is around $225 –
but with low power usage (150-200W).

I’m considering the Celeron 2.4, an ASUS MB and 512MB PC133 memory
from newegg, directron, or spartantech.

A couple of questions…

1. The Celeron has a 400fsb. Is using the PC133 memory defeating this?
Should I pay double for the DDR memory? What benefit do I get?

2. What would be an equivalent or better AMD configuration for the
price? Does AMD still require a hefty power supply? The CPU wattage
seems to be the same as Intel (according to www.cpuscorecard.com).

I would appreciate some links to articles online that would prove your
points.

Thanks.
