I just created a web page, and "they" tell me that it is listed with
Google, but when I access google, then type in my web page, it does
not come up.
toothache-dentist.com How can this be listed? In the top 40 for
search words like toothache, emergency dentist, MA ?

You are correct that the site doesn't (yet?) appear in the Google
index.

We'd be happy to try assist you in getting to the bottom of the
mystery. Could you please share a bit more information?

You "just created a web page" -- exactly when, and further, when was
the site submitted for indexing by Google. For the latter, a precise
date would be helpful.

Who are "they"?

Simply adding you webpage to google through
://www.google.com/addurl.html usually doesn't work. the best way
is to have affilates i.e. webpages which are on google have their your
webpage link on their site. it takes about a month to be crawled by
google spiders. usually by searching the words in your domain is
enough for your site to appear the first on the list.
