I have had a web site up for 1 year and Google still has not indexed
the site. www.pcstereolink.com . Other sites link to it, it to others,
it has optimized meta tags, and ample quality content. I suspect it
might be black listed, maybe cause my last host was trying cloaking?
can you tell? Google should give you the resources to see if the site
is black listed. Thanks! |

From looking at your site I cannot see any reason for it being
blacklisted. The leaves the following possibilities:
- Using automated rank-checking software
- Utilizing a link-farm or reciprocal linking program
- Cloaking (as you mentioned)
Perhaps listing the sites that link to yours will help researchers
find the problem.
Also, I know it is obvious, but is worth mentioning just in case. Did
you submit the URL to Google? And did you do it via:

1.Didn't use rank-checking software
2.no links to link farms, not nor or ever
3. I suspect cloaking, but mod-write was used, NO index.pl file which
normally sends up red flags to Google
4. Sites can be seen under the Copywrite 2002 link, lower left
5. yes, site has been submitted using WebPosition Gold for the last
year, and only one page per month per search engine
Other thoughts:
1. Did sign up for Inktomi Priority Submit,
https://submit-secure.vendercom.com/cgi-bin/login.cgi?lang=en , but
also did other sites that list well with Google. Pcstereolink.com is
ranked well with the Inktomi/Overture search engines, ie. msn.com
2. my site does share much copy (text) with http://cablestogo.com/,
who I get the cables from. Most of the copy is from/on the Support
page
good luck, this is my first time with Google answer, do you work for
Google? When do I pay you? Who decides when the answer is good enough?
just curious as to how this works, cool service I will ad.
peace,
jared

Greetings Jared314:
You stated "yes, site has been submitted using WebPosition Gold for
the last
year, and only one page per month per search engine"
In Google's guidelines for webmasters is the statement "Don't use
unauthorized computer programs to submit pages, check rankings, etc.
Such programs consume computing resources and violate our terms of
service. Google does not recommend the use of products such as
WebPosition Gold that send automatic or programmatic queries to
Google."
From ://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html
It would behoove you to review all the suggestions for webmasters at
that link. Ceasing to use Web Position Gold would be a fine first
step.

okay, however all the other sites on that links page have been
submitted using Webposition Gold for just as long and without any
problems, I can't believe that that is the problem, how can we tell if
I have indeed been blacklisted, this is, quite frankly, why I turned
to "Google Answers" to begin with
thanks Georgia,
