I was looking through goodle's categories "sun" and "round" for a
capital O I could use as the first letter of my business name which is
Optimum. I wanted an O with a bird flying out of it. I found a round
image with a bird inside but that really wasn't what I wanted. I
wanted a symbol of success, progress, movement or strength. I found an
oval "O" that had 3 orange wavy lines coming off the left side
looking somewhat like flames. It was the first picture in a column
on the left side. I cannot locate it again. It looked contemporary.
Can someeone find it for me? I don't remember the color of the O,
perhaps Black, charcoal or chrome.

Most of the images that come up on an image search are in fact
copyright. Why don't you create your own design in a programme such as
Paint Shop Pro ?

For example, you could take a photo of the sun at sunset. Superimpose
an O from the font of your choice, so that it forms a frame for the
photo. Erase any photo from outside the frame. Perhaps choose a
complimentary colour for the O. Find a free flying bird image from a
free clipart website and superimpose that on the whole image or pay a
small license fee to a site such as Art Today for access to their
royalty free photo downloads (you can subscribe for as short a time as
one week).

That way your logo becomes copyright to you - a distinct advantage in
a business.
