i am looking for a supplier of the lightly-textured polypropylene film that is used in making clear CD sleeves. note that i am not interested in the nonwoven polyolefins (tyvek) used as the liner on certain sleeves, just the clear film. many different firms use this material such as: http://www.univenture.com/acatalog/single_disc_sleeves.html (scroll down about halfway to the "Poly Tuck Sleeve" - Product #12064 and http://www.effectuality.com/Unprinted_Packaging/poly_sleeve_flap.shtml i am looking for rolls of the film in the thickness that is used in such sleeves which i believe is approx 4 to 5 mil. the minimum width is 11" and we prefer around 12" but we can take wider rolls as well. the film should be CD-safe and designed for the purpose of protecting CDs. i have done extensive google searching (but not any phone calling) on the subject and haven't come across anything, so the answer to this question may have to come from someone familiar with the industry. i would prefer if the source stocks the plastic (im not sure if anyone does), and ideally they would be located in the los angeles area (but this isn't a requirement). we need prototype quantities immediately, but will soon need larger quantities. please do not supply me with names of plastic film distributors that MAY carry this. i need a source that either stocks the product (preferable) or can manufacture it. sorry, i know there are a lot of specifics here, but i was hoping that someone knowlegeable in the field would know a source without having to do any research at all. |
