Hello 211563,
I believe latex clothing more serves the fetish/bondage-domination
industry than the porn industry. If ever you would buy the factory,
where do you plan to sell the products, in the US or UK? I also know
that there are quite a lot of latex clothing manufacturers in the US
too. What sort of specific information do you need?

Clarification of Question by 211563-ga on 04 Aug 2003 02:48 PDT
Thanks, I didn't know that. Well, I guess I would like the name of
latex clothing manufacturers in the United States. Products will be
sold in U. S. but line of products will only include mainstream type
clothing...

Thanks for your clarification. There are a few other things that came
to mind:
- Is the list of US manufacturers all that you need?
- Do you mean "mainstream clothing" as the kind that I talked about,
the fetish fashion? If you're thinking of "mainstream" clothing as
Giordano, Diesel, jeans and other such kinds of clothes, I doubt you
can apply that to latex.
- I also recalled that another big market of latex clothing is latex
gloves used for hospitals and the medical field. Would you like
information on this also?

U. S. , and Foreign if you would. No hospital gloves. mainstream
clothing as you described it. Thanks and sounds like you are on the
right track.

Hello 211563,
Thanks for clarifying your question further. I hope this answer I have
prepared will help you in the way you need.

First, I'll give online lists of shops that sells Latex Clothes, some
of them I searched for, but the first I recalled from personal
knowledge. The first two websites below seem most promising:

Hobbleskirt.com - Shopping Guide (actually lists many fetish wear
manufacturers

Electra's Web: US Fetish Store Directory
http://www.electrasweb.com/fetishes/usdirect.html

Open Directory - Adult: Shopping: Clothing: Latex
http://dmoz.org/Adult/Shopping/Clothing/Latex/

Google Directory - Adult > Shopping > Clothing > Latex
http://directory.google.com/Top/Adult/Shopping/Clothing/Latex/

Yahoo! Directory Shopping and Services > Sex > Fetish and Fantasy Wear
> Latex, Rubber, and Vinyl

Where The F***? : Adult Products/Clothing/Latex Links
http://www.wherethef***.com/directory/Adult_Products/Clothing/Latex/
(Just fill in the letters in place of the asterisks, I censored them
because the question is publicly displayed)

I'll put together a list of some fetish and latex clothes stores that
have websites. These would be the easiest stores to find while online.
I put them together from the list sites mentioned above:

US and North America:

UK:
(I'll include this since the factory you mentioned is in the UK, and
you may have a market for it there)
Latexware, Latex clothes manufacturer, LATEX CLOTHES MANUFACTURER,
Latex fashion wear, Latex club clothing
http://www.latexware.com/

Armory - manufacturers and wholesalers of latex, pvc and leather
fashions, club wear, fetish wear
http://www.armory.co.uk/

Cocoon Rubber and Latex
http://www.cocoon1.com/

Lady Bwear
http://www.ladybwear.com/default.asp

Libidex - latex clothing, rubber clothing, latex fetish, rubber boots,

http://www.tickledpink.uk.com/home.shtml

Westward Bound - Latex and other fetish wear
http://www.westwardbound.com/

These are only some of the shops that I believe are the most popular
in the US and the UK, though I think Latex Fetish would be more
popular in the colder countries of Europe. You can see the number of
other manufacturers in countries like the Netherlands and Finland in
the lists I provided. The US has a thriving market though.

I also suggest that you can make your own line of clothing, so if you
can design clothes, or hire a designer, you might even be able to set
up your own line of latex clothing, even with clothes that are not for
fetish purposes.

I was unfortunately unable to find any figures relating to market size
or sales, but based on what I've seen on the net, the latex clothing
business isn't doing badly.

Google Search Strings used:
latex clothing manufacturer
latex fetish manufacturer
latex fetish manufacturer us

I hope this has been a most helpful answer. If you have any problem
with it, do please post a Request for Clarification and I shall
respond as soon as I can. Thank you.

As one in the BDSM/Fetish lifestyle for over 15 years now and owner of
Realbondage.org , I have actually found the whole latex fashion trend
to be a minority. Not saying that there isn't a large market for it,
but to exclusively market to people in this lifestyle would be far too
limiting.

I've seen far more people wearing latex at parties, in the clubs, and
just daily wear, then I have seen in the BDSM/Fetish groups I've been
in. In any case it is an obscurity, and a definite trend niche.

Having assisted at Goddess Club (http://www.goddessclub.com) I've
learned that to find what you want in the fetish world you ask the
specialists. If I wanted to buy a latex factory in the uk I would
email Skin Two Magazine(http://www.skintwo.com) because they know
latex companies, fetish models, fetish photographers, and they are
located in the uk and host latex and rubber balls and parties.
