I can translate individual common words for you into multiple
languages, but phrases (beach towel, foot spray) and compund words
(notecards) are harder to come by.

For instance, tea would be:

Swedish -- te
German -- Tee
Italian -- tè
Spanish -- tè
French -- thé
Greek -- τσάι

but words like aromatherapy and notecard, aren't likely to show up.

Are you interested in my posting the words that are available as an
answer to your question? I can also show you how to use available
tools on the web to easily do translations of other words into
multiple languages, from Arabic to Yiddish!

Let me know.

Sorry...the Greek alphabet looked OK when I wrote it, but obviously
didn't survive the posting process.

Answering this question and providing you with verifiable sources such
as websites could prove to be tough, if not too tough. I have a simple
solution for your need. I think the translations can be easily
obtained by using IRC (maybe you know it as mIRC)
(http://www.mirc.com) and joining channels such as Italy, Italia,
Germany etc.

I think that a simple question on such channels would be enough. One
could easily get the translations this way. It might be a little
trickier with the Greek translation though, because of their alphabet.
But, that's just one problem, and with a little bit of luck, a really
helpful Greek person could provide those translations in a Word
document.

I actually tried the method on the "Italia" channel. Someone answered
my question immediately. Not a complete answer, but... it was just an
experiment.

Would such translations be considered acceptable? If not for all the
words, maybe for the expressions?

Smwwggl246-ga -- Here's a suggestion: I suggest you cancel this
question, then ask six questions, one for each language, and pay $5
each.

The reason I suggest this is because it is very difficult for a person
who doesn't know a language to provide a good translation. A good
translation for these terms cannot be had simply by looking up the
words in a dictionary! I know Spanish, but in order to give you good
translations for a couple of the terms I would want to look up those
terms in context (possibly by looking for a Spanish spa web site). I
would also, for example, probably provide you with more than one
translation for some terms so you get the best word. (An example is
"candle." A candle that might be used in aromatherapy wouldn't
necessarily be translated by the same word as a candle used in
worship.) I could with confidence tell you I was providing good
terminology, but I certainly couldn't do that for the other languages.

Any, just a thought. I do believe you'd receive a much more
satisfactory answer from six questions than from one.

Sincerely,

Mvguy-ga
