Many software companies outsource their customer support website, so that someone else can provide functions such as trouble ticket system, automated FAQ, and customer forums. 1) How big is this "outsourced support websites" industry in annual revenues? Keep in mind this is only for software companies, not for support websites for non-software companies. (Data a couple years old is ok.) 2) Who are the top five outsourcers? e.g., http://www.rightnow.com is one such player. 3) What are the most common five functions provided, listed in order? Thanks. |

eds is one of the larger services companies, i believe they provide support as well. Welcome to EDS, the leading global information technology (IT) services company. www.eds.com also i've seen ads for Call-A-Geek at circuit city/best buy/comp usa but its for per-user support instead of whole company support i believe. http://call-a-geek.com/ |
