I'm looking for an article about a kidnapping of a Bartholomew Guiffre, a three year old boy in the early 1900's. The article, I believe, was in a newspaper called the Brooklyn Daily Eagle. The child was returned to his parents in approximately forty days after his initial kidnapping. Could you let me know if there is anyway of obtaining articles from that newspaper or other newpapers of the time? Thank you. |

Atlas -- A check of the NY Times online shows no stories. It is normally an excellent source and well-indexed, though early editions only write about "important" people. This link has an archive of the Brooklyn Eagle from 1841 to 1902 and though it worked in the past, I couldn't get it to work for me today: http://eagle.brooklynpubliclibrary.org/ Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |
