Hello nanosumaila-ga,
What defines good quality software? Usability certainly isn't the only
important part of good quality software, but it is an important aspect
of it. If software is not easily "usable",
customers/companies/organizations will often not care about what it
can actually do, because if it is not easily usable by the people who
need to use it, the features of the software really do not matter.
Also have you ever gotten a box of software with a tiny user manual or
even without one? Including a user manual and proper instructions for
new/beginning users also makes the software easier to use and thus
enhances the software quality.
"Software should have an appropriate user interface and
documentation."

"The benefits of having had usability considerations included in the
development of computer software are immense, but often unappreciated.
[...] To summarise the benefits I would just say that it makes the
software more "user friendly". The end result will be:
Better quality software.
Software is easier to use.
Software is more readily accepted by users.
Shortens the learning curve for new users."

From Walla Walla College, usability is further broken down into these
areas which can all contribute to software quality:
"understandability, learnability, operability, attractiveness,
compliance."
