So I'm watching the Discovery channel in my home in Toronto, Canada
and they do a story (http://www.exn.ca/video/?Video=exn20030225-vodka.asx)
about this Vodka they make in Texas that's supposed to be outstanding.

I contacted the LCBO (that's the government agency that buys booze for
everyone in the province of Ontatio.) They said that I'd have to buy
a minimum of 12 x 750ml bottles and pay a huge s&h fee.

I was hoping that someone in Texas could walk into a store, buy me a
couple of 750ml sized bottles or one of them big bottles (1.75L) and
ship it up to me. In my life I've met many Texans, all of whom were
good people, so I'd send you the money up front via this system or
paypal or whatever is best for you. I see that these guys in KY
(http://www.thepartysource.com/spirits/spirits_search_reviews.phtml?department=9)
sell the medium (750ml) for $15 and the big guy for under $30. You'll
need to add shipping and $$$$ for your time and effort (which is only
fair). I've assumed $60 would cover it but please let me know what
you'd think would be acceptable.

I guess I should also say that I'm 31 years old and to the best of my
knowledge you would in no way be breaking any laws by shipping me this
"gift."

You can see all of Tito's distributors here:
http://www.titos-vodka.com/distributors.htm

Finally, if this (Google Answers) is not the forum in which my quest
might find sucess, perhaps you might suggest one.

Cheers!

Joe

Hi there!

Unfortunately, no, Google Answers is not the forum in which to
successfully achieve your goal - we do not ship anything to anyone.
For one, such a transaction would require you to post your contact
information publicly, which is strictly forbidden by the Google
Answers TOS (and really not safe for you to do, out here on the open
web). For another, such an arrangement would require the Researcher
to publicly provide contact details as well, which is likewise
prohibited by the TOS and would make many of our number uncomfortable
to do, besides.

Additionally, liquor sales in the US are very strictly regulated, and
one may not export spirits without a permit. There may be certain
exceptions for gifts, but this would not be a gift, it would be a
publicly conducted commercial transaction, and would (at the very
least) run afoul of customs regulations.

I'm afraid I have no suggestions for another forum for you. Perhaps
you might be able to convince your favorite bar owner to order a case,
from which you can buy a bottle or three, and he can sell the rest in
his establishment for a handsome profit?

Good luck!

--Missy (who is a Tequila girl, but appreciates a very fine vodka on
occasion)
