Hey gang, I'm trying to raise money to pay for my ever-spiraling
wedding costs...I have a 1st issue of the comic book "Spawn"
autographed by Todd MacFarlane in MINT condition. I'm wondering how
much it's worth, and where to go to get the best rate for it?

I also have a baseball with Willie Mays, Joe DiMaggio, Gordie Howe,
and Johnny Unitas' autographs in fair condition from a celebrity
sports event from the early 80's. It's an official national league
ball. Same question goes....how do I find out what it's worth, and
where can I go to sell it for the best rate? Thanks!

call any local comic/memorabilia stores and see if they buy, also
check what spawn autographed comics are going for on ebay.

Ritual,

Keep in mind that there's a "wholesale" price and a "retail" price for
these kinds of things. A shop owner will usually pay you the wholesale
rate because he/she intends to sell it to a customer at retail and
thereby make a profit. Some dealers are willing to hold items on
consignment and then pay the owner 80% of the retail price, but this
usually means that you don't get the money until the item sells.

Then, there's issues like certificates of authenticity (how do I know
it's a real autograph?), etc.

Ebay. If you post it, they will come. Good luck and congratulations
on your upcoming wedding!
