I'm trying to find an artist named T. G.G. Fennigu who painted a picture of a clipper ship named "Nordstjernen" in 1885. I don't know if he is an American artist of a Scandanavian artist. The ship apparently existed both in Norway as its registry was Bergen, Norway but I believe it also made it to the west coast of San Francisco or had as its captain a Christian I. Pedersen "Petersen". Christian Pedersen came to San Francisco somewhere between 1882-1885 and settled here with his family. He is my great-grandfather and I am trying to find a link between him and the painting the Nordstjernen. | |
