I tried to install a camera and the software corrpted MSVCR.dll On
installing this file I was unable to update Norton antivirus. Platform
Windows 98SE

Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Norton AntiVirus?

I has the similar problem on WinXP with just installed NAV2003. I
found solution on Symantec site:

There is much pages about this error on Symantec support site.

Did you try downloading MSVCR.dll and putting it into the norton
folder and to your sys32 folder?
