When I read discussion of the books on the internet there is always a
reference made back to some article someone read that came from a JK
Rowling interview that was given. I never know if the references are
true or not.

Are there places on the web that have scanned articles or just plain
news sites that contain articles about Harry Potter. Where I can find
interviews of JK Rowling or the actors? I'd love to to be able to
have a listing of some of them that I can use as a resource.

Humbugxf,

For those Muggles without direct acccess to owl-delivery of The Daily
Prophet, I can recommend a few web sites with tons of information
about the world of Harry Potter.

Let me give you a warning about these sites: Spoilers, ahoy! Don't
read them unless you've already read books 1-5 otherwise you may find
yourself spoiled.

First, look at The Leaky Cauldron, [
http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/ ]. It's somewhat disorganized, but
here you can find references to newspaper articles, photos, and
interviews. They also have a search feature which let me pull up the
following search (on "interview" and "rowling") and which may point at
the interview you want: [
http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/MT/mt-search.cgi?IncludeBlogs=1&search=rowling+interview
]. Check the archives for old news postings. They don't appear to be
organized, except by date posted.

Another site with lots of information is at [ http://www.thehpn.com/
]. It's more organized than The Leaky Cauldron, but I had a little
trouble navigating it to find general interview information.

A third fan site with news is at [ http://www.planetpotter.co.uk/ ].

Finally, there's a Usenet newsgroup where you can rant, rave, and see
tons of uncensored comments about the Harry Potter universe. If you
don't mind wading through lots of stuff which doesn't interest you,
there's usually some gems of information available from the discussion
group [ news:alt.fan.harry-potter ]. If your ISP doesn't provide
Usenet access, you can read it via google groups at [
http://groups.google.com/groups?group=alt.fan.harry-potter ].

Search Strategy:

[ ://www.google.com/search?as_q=faq&num=100&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&btnG=Google+Search&as_epq=harry+potter&as_oq=&as_eq=&lr=&as_ft=i&as_filetype=&as_qdr=all&as_occt=any&as_dt=i&as_sitesearch=&safe=images
]
Google Search: faq + "harry potter"

I hope this provides you with enough reading material to pass the time
until Book 6 comes out :-) .

Please advise if you need further clarification or if your Nimbus 2000
is malfunctioning!

Just thought it might be a good idea to give you direct links to a few
interviews I discovered from the above sites.

]
Transcript of Katie Couric interviewing Rowling on Dateline

BBC interview with Rowling

Newsweek article on filming of the 3rd movie

I hope this helps!

Hi humbugxf-ga,
The most comprehensive JKR quote archive is at
http://www.quick-quote-quill.org, which the folks at The Leaky
Cauldron compiled themselves.

Have fun ;-)
