I had a Powerpoint presentation that I had been working on for a few
hours, saving every ten minutes or so under the same file name.
Inadvertantly I deleted the contents of the presentation and saved,
again under the same file name. Obviously several hours of work
vanished. Please tell me how to recover one of the previous saved
versions or a previous "temporary" version. Windows 2000. Powerpoint
2002. Verbiage can be minimal -- I know the basics (minimize
subsequent comptuer use, as the laten data from the previous versions
can be written over, etc.). If software is required to recover data,
prefer software that can be delivered online, or, if physical copy
needed, software that can be easily available at a storefront
(Staples, etc.). Evidently Norton can't handle this, per its website
(needs Norton Protect feature enable before the error occured).
Thanks.

Try this and let me know if it works:

"Aladdin FlashBack"

No, it doesn't work. Like Norton Protect, Aladdin Flashback only
works if it is enabled BEFORE the error has occurred (basically
archives unlimited previous versions as you do as you work along).
Thanks for suggesting.

There's lots of "undelete" utilities posted at download.com ...
