I know very little regarding the circumstances of my uncle's death.
It was ruled as a suicide, but some family members are convinced it
was homicide. His name was Ernest Oliver, he lived and died in
Tennessee (eastern), and he died in either 1981 or 1982. I would like
help finding any information or articles that were printed about his
death.

Do you know "where", in Tennessee, precisely?

regards;

Dear Lindzdoc,

Searching for your uncle date of death in the Social Security Death
Index, brings up three people with similar name who died in Tennessee,
but not in the years you mention, and several people who died in
Johnson City with the surname Oliver, none of them with matching first
name. Therefore:
(1) Could the death occur in another state?
(2) Could it be, that his legal given name was not Ernest?
(3) Could the death occur in another year?
