If people from Texas are Texans, people from Iowa are Iowans, people from New Hampshire are New Hampshiremen.... what are people from Massachusetts called? What about all of the other states? How did you find this/these answers? |

Hey Jeff that's a great response! I don't buy the "Bay Staters" answer though! :-) We've always referred to them as Mass-holes but I dont think that's appropriate either! We were thinking Massachusans or Massachusians...... |

Connecticut Nicknames There are several nicknames for persons from Connecticut, even though none is "official": According to Webster's New International Dictionary, 1993, a person who is a native or resident of Connecticut is a "Connecticuter". There are numerous other terms in print, but not in use, such as: "Connecticotian" - Cotton Mather in 1702. "Connecticutensian" - Samuel Peters in 1781. "Nutmegger" is sometimes used.
