Question ID: 240915
Concerning the following statement:

"Reported only in a Portuguese newspaper, The Portugal News Weekend
Edition (May 8, 2002) , a group of US pilots deliberated non-stop for
72 hours in an independent analysis of the 911 story. The inquiry
stated, “The so-called terrorist attack was in fact a superbly
executed military operation carried out against the USA, requiring the
utmost professional military skill in command, communications, and
control.” Captain Kent Hill USAF Ret, a friend of Chuck Burlingame
(the pilot of Flight 77), confirmed the ability of flying aircraft
from the ground. An ex Vietnam fighter pilot said, 'Those birds either
had a crack fighter pilot in the left seat, or they were being
maneuvered by remote control.'”

Did the article actually appear in the Portugal News May 8,2002, and
if so, can I get a copy of thie article in English? Sorry, this is
all the information that I have.

Sincerely,
Robert Phillipoff
PS The info you gave me yesterday re the Andreas von Beulow interview
was excellent.

Dear bobby12-ga;

Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting
question.

Here is an online reprint of the article you are referring to in its
entirety that was published in THE PORTUGAL NEWS WEEKEND EDITION (an
English-language Portuguese newspaper) as a “front page story”. It
should be noted that the online version of the same newspaper lists
the date of publication (apparently incorrectly) as “3/8/2002” rather
than 5/8/2002, but nevertheless, this is the newspaper that claims the
original publication:

THE PORTUGAL NEWS

(I apologize for the inconvenience of having to offer a link rather
than the actual article but I’m sure you can understand the potential
copyright problems one might face for reproducing such an article here
word-for-word.)

In this excerpted article and subsequent summary by Dr. Thomas R
Olmsted, M.D., entitled “NO ARABS ON FLIGHT 77: PART II -THE
PASSENGERS”, the author refers directly and specifically to the
Portuguese article you inquired about and confirms its date of
publication as May 8, 2002.

Below you will find that I have carefully defined my search strategy

that that my research exceeds your expectations. If you have any

I am extremely pleased both with this comment, and the one I received
the day before concerning Andreas von Beulow's interview in
Tagesspiegal re 9/11/2001.
