Question ID: 241010
What is the most efffective means for my marketing or advertising to
be read by orthodontists? To be more specific, I want to know where
to publish my marketing articles and where to place my product
advertising both online and offline so the largest number of
orthodontist will see it. For example, specific ortho industry
magazines, newsletters, publications, journals, online ezines or
journals, web sites rich in content and articles, etc., Of course,
these need to be places that accept advertising or free lance articles
that orthodontists will read. True motivation of my question: My
goal in asking this is to ultimately use articles (I have a number of
published marketing articles in some local newsletters, with solid
content that I use to warm clients up to my offering and send them to
my website), classified ads, and paid advertising spots to drive
orthodontist to my web site (selling an ortho related marketing
product). Thanks.

Hi! Thanks for the question.

I have found the following links that can help your marketing campaign
to orthodontists. I will also separate the links into different
categories for a clearer presentation of information.

Journals

The following journals are publications that accept orthodontic
related articles or even advertisements. Whenever possible I will
immediately direct you to the article submission guidelines of the
particular publication. Most of the journals here are published online

I admit have not checked all of your links yet, but many of them I did
check out are targeting the consumer looking who is looking for info
on orthodontics or who is looking for an orthodontist. That won't
help me.

I am only interested in advertising directly to orthodontist as my
audience, not the consumer. Therefore, can you do another search and
narrow the focus to only those areas that an orthodontist would read
or go to look for general ortho product info?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I am only interested in the
continental United States Of America. That's my fault for not
clarifying that point originally.

Hi again and thanks for asking a clarification before making a rating.

In your clarification you said:

"I admit have not checked all of your links yet, but many of them I
did
check out are targeting the consumer looking who is looking for info
on orthodontics or who is looking for an orthodontist."

Actually the links I provided are indeed targeted only to ortodontists
and not to consumers. The first links I gave out are scientific
journals not just ordinary magazines. Such publications can only be
understood by orthodontists and not ordinary people.

Articles such as these from some of the journals I cited are primarily
catered to orthodontists.

"Extraction vs Nonextraction: Arch Widths and Smile Esthetics"
http://www.angle.org/anglonline/?request=get-document&issn=0003-3219&volume=073&issue=04&page=0354

"Screening Orthodontic Polymers for Leaching"
http://www.quintpub.com/journals/abstract.php3?iss2_id=97&article_id=1080

The newsletters meanwhile may be targeted to consumers but it is also
a thing read by orthodontists because of the scientific nature of some
of the articles.

Furthermore, most of the links I provided were US based so you can
still use them. My purpose for including international links is that
you can still use them to advertise on their websites since Americans
can read them too. But the most important reason I gave them out to
you is that upon my research, they also figure prominently in Google
Search Engine rankings, so they are highly visible on the Internet.

I hope this clarifies the answer above and show that I was able to
completely answer your original request.

Thanks again!

Best Regards
Easterange-ga
