Greetings Deltadawn2:

Are you certain that was his given name? I found a reference to
"Wilbur Budd Hulick" in a general Google search but could find no
record of his death in the Social Security death index at
http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?&gsfn=&f23=&gsln=hulick&sx=&db=ssdi&ti=0&hc=&f13=&f14=&f15=&f12=&f9=&f8=&f10=&f6=&f5=&f7=&f0=&f1=&f2=&f20=&submit.x=44&submit.y=11&gss=angs&fh=0
(where I performed a general "hulick" search). The names were mostly
in alphabetical order but I only examined the "B" and "W" sections.
You may want to look at all the Hulick names there.

I did find a reference (see Search Strategy below) from a list of
marriage licenses in Fredericksburg, VA, that reads:

"Wilbur B HULICK (D) Elizabeth V SAHNER 1939 License"

This reference seems to indicate that this Mr. Hulick applied for a
marriage license in 1939 in Virginia. Perhaps this will assist you in
some fashion. I wish I could have been of more help to your quest.

Best regards,
journalist-ga

I found at least one (maybe more) of your relatives. Would you like me
to put you in touch with this person(s) as an answer?

It is possible that your father may still be living, but now as a
private individual retired from show business. Unfortunatley, as a
matter of policy, we cannot provide information about living persons
so you question will likley go unanswered. I can however give you some
links that will lead you to at least one person who I am fairly
certain is one of your cousins.

Dear deltadawn2-ga;

Very well. After some clarification and comments between us I will
gladly provide INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR FAMILY GENEALOGY RATHER THAN MR.
HULICK HIMSELF as my answer, per your request. Since my attempts (and
other’s attempts) to find a record of Budd Hulick’s death failed using
the most reliable sources, it is possible, albeit somewhat remote,
that he is still living. Of course, if this were so, he would be quite
elderly now; close to 100 years old in fact. I do not want to get your
hopes up but while it is probable that Mr. Hulick has since died,
given his advanced age, the lack of any record in the Social Security
Death Index, our failure to find any obituary, and the lack of any
notation in the genealogy files themselves does suggest (at least)
that he might still be living. If not, I hope some of your relatives
can help you find the records you need.

Here is some genealogy work I found on ROOTSWEB that was compiled and
submitted by one of your potential relatives on the HYATT/YARNALL
Family, in which Wanda and Budd Hulick both appear. As you can see,
this file comes complete with contact information for the researcher.

http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=pamolot&id=I0088

Here is another file on the HART Family. If I am reading it correctly
it is the one that suggests your mother may be have been married more
than once prior to marrying your father. It too comes with contact
information for the researcher who I believe is your cousin; perhaps a
cousin of your mother’s from the Hart side of your family.

http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=rahart&id=I14000

This is the accompanying file of WILBUR BUDD HULICK. For reasons of
privacy, I believe you are the one listed here as LIVING HULICK.

http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=rahart&id=I14007

I wish you luck in finding closure in your search.

Below you will find that I have carefully defined my search strategy
for you in the event that you need to search for more information. By
following the same type of searches that I did you may be able to
enhance the research I have provided even further. I hope you find
that that my research exceeds your expectations. If you have any
questions about my research please post a clarification request prior
to rating the answer. Otherwise, I welcome your rating and your final
comments and I look forward to working with you again in the near
future. Thank you for bringing your question to us.

Best regards;
Tutuzdad-ga

I agree with journalist-ga. Something's not right here. I also looked
in the Social Security death index and found nothing. I've found
everyone I needed to find there in the past. Maybe he was never issued
a SS number??? I do know that Mr. Hulick was born in 1907. I hope you
find what you are looking for. I am a fan of Colonel Stoopnagle and
Budd. Good luck. STOOPNOCRACY RULES!!!

Just FYI - If you mother's middle name was Wanda and her maiden name
was Hart, I found where the two of them were married in Buffalo, NY on
November 10, 1930, recorded in the Lafayette, Indiana based "LAFAYETTE
JOURNAL AND COURIER"

By the way, the commenter above is mistaken. You father's date of
birth was November 14, 1905 in Asbury Park, NJ to your grandparents,
George Edwin Hulick and Mary Frances Morrison "Fannie" Humes. I do
know that your mother was married twice before marrying your father in
1930. Sadly, she is no longer living. She passed away on February 16,
1978 in Escondido, California.
