Greetings Searchint: The artist you are seeking is Oliver Mtukudzi and it would be *very* difficult to guess the spelling of his name! However, I am familiar with his music and I recognized your phonetic spelling. :) "With his soul-inflected style, singer, songwriter, guitarist Oliver Mtukudzi is one of Zimbabwe's musical founding fathers and artist of global stature." http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/jazzfest2002/olivermtukudzi.shtml You may view his 2003/2004 tour dates at http://www.ritmoartists.com/Tours/tour_om.htm and you may read a biography of him at http://www.sheer.co.za/oliver.html Thank you for asking this interesting question and I hope others will read it and discover Mtukudzi's wonderful musical legacy! Best regards, journalist-ga SEARCH STRATEGY: Oliver Mtukudzi |
